Cua

Barry Arts Fesival Presentation.

Cua - John Davidson, Shane Booth & Ros O'Meara bring together dynamic and contrasting instrumentation and voices.
Firmly established as one of the most rewarding musical experiences, following seven years of touring, writing and recording, this trio continues to impress. Following four visits to these shores from their base in Co. Laois, Ireland, the positive reviews continue to flow as the fan base grows. When they appeared at the prestigious Irish Cultural Centre in London, the critics praised their skilful playing, broad diversity and eclectic character. After performing in Louth, Lincs., local promoter Nathan Michael posted this online: "One of my Top Five Best Gigs - EVER!" Respected UK music writer, Marc Higgins told readers they had been "spellbinding!” “It was my second time for this band - three wonderful musicians who manage to sound like a six piece. Their tight three-part vocal harmonies are a complete joy," he said. Folk Radio UK paid this compliment: “If Cua are not on your radar, then they should be.” When the band played Glasgow’s Celtic Connections festival, their show was the first one to become a sold-out event on the entire programme.

8th March 2024 at Cubanas - Tickets early November.
